Frank Gehry Does UTS.

I was first introduced to Frank Gehry's buildings via The Simpsons, on the episode where Mr. Burns turned one into a prison. I've yet to see one of his buildings in person but have seen many pictures  on the web. As an old boy of UTS, I have been taking an interest on Gehry's plans to build a campus on the old Dairy Farmers site in Ultimo.

On my adventures to the Casino a month or so ago, I made a point to go past the site and see how construction had been going. It was largely a hole in the ground but there are public viewing windows whereby you can monitor its progress.

Fortuately on my outing with my middle sister yesterday, we walked past Ultimo and I had the chance to snap up early progress. Despite my sister feeling like it was a bad part of town, I'm sure it will come alive once this thing is completed.

5-2-13 - Frank Gehry UTS Building

Yes its very rough and doesn't look like much yet, but I'm looking forward to watching this one take shape and monitoring its progress.
